RCCG Festival of Life Update

Good Evening family,

Quick post just to update you! As you know, the RCCG Festival of Life London took place yesterday at the Excel Centre and I was asked to help out before the event! Anyway, coupled with my moving, the day before (Thursday) was a very busy one for me; especially trying to sell my car! That was a great difficulty; I had received absolutely NO interest on auto trader only a few personal friends enquiring but nothing solid! It was a great source of disappointment for me!

The Festival of Life started at 8pm last night and ended at 5:30am this morning- The theme was- “The Second Touch”! So, about 9 and a half hours of praising God! Awesome! Anyway, I was due to get to the Excel centre 12 hours before the event started; 8am yesterday! Stay for the event and after the event ended at half 5, clear up till about half 8! That meant working for 24hours straight. 8am Friday till after the event; 8:30am today! So, I knew a good night’s rest was essential. I didn’t get to bed till about 1am and needed to be up by 6 but I was unable to sleep. In addition to that, I missed my alarm and woke up at 7am and left the house at half 7. We were meant to gather at 8am to pray with the GO- Pastor E.A Adeboye and meet him and then start our various task but I had car trouble and didn’t get there till half 9 and so I was unable to meet him.

But the Lord is forever faithful! I was setting up the vip rooms for some of the Pastors and I was allocated two rooms on the GO’s floor and inspected all the rooms on the floor including that of the GO and his wife. He wasn’t in the room at the time but I was happy to at least have had some form of contact with him and was grateful. Anyway, we worked up until the event started at 8pm. At this time I was extremely tired, having driven two hours to get there and walking, carrying and working for about eleven hours, we went to my colleague’s Hotel room (also inside the venue) to relax. I knew I needed the rest but decided I would return to the event hall at midnight as the GO normally starts preaching at 1am.

I fell asleep and had set an alarm to go back to the service at midnight! Unfortunately, I missed the alarm again as I was thoroughly exhausted! I mentally decided to just sleep since I was so tired. To my surprise, around 1am, one of my colleagues in the room started snoring profusely and I tried to shut my ears, turned several times but I couldn’t sleep! I was AWAKENED and could no longer fall asleep and so I got up and started getting ready to return to the venue! Can you believe that as soon as I was fully awake, the snoring stopped? I knew it was the Lord! If not for the horrible snoring, I would have missed the message. I quickly headed right back to the hall and started taking notes of the Word! It was amazing as always; I can always describe a message but never the GO’s! So hard to put into words but every bit of it appealed to me and I praised God! I went there believing in God for spiritual growth personally, ministry growth, healing upon my father, marital settlement, a distinction in my Master’s and a smooth relocation to Nigeria!

The GO was led by God to pray for different categories of people. First, the students and so I stood up as I am still awaiting my results from the Post graduate project! I brought along the assignment receipt for the dissertation and held it up and prayed and received His prophecies! Brethren, celebrate with me because my distinction is sure! It is done; not because of anything I’ve done but because the Lord has said it! He prayed for eligible singles believing in God for a spouse, I stood up and received every word of prophecy. Again my family, celebrate with me because my wedding is fast approaching and my Godly inspirational marriage will soon be a point of contact for thousands of Christians including YOU! Amen! He prayed for those expecting financial upliftment, I stood again and received it! Brethren, you are hearing from a woman who’s tithe is about to increase magnificently! Amen! Another category mentioned was that of married women who have been unable to bear children, I stood in the gap for an aunt of mine and for readers who are in this situation. I may not know you but I know that our God is able and by the power of God, this month you shall conceive and if it is twins or triplets you want, in nine months time, you will carry your healthy children! Amen!

The last part of the service is something the GO was directed to do many years ago, when the congregation holds up a piece of cloth- handkerchief, scarf and so on and the anointing of God falls upon this item and it is up to you to exercise faith or not with this. But I have heard testimonies of people who did that and rubbed the cloth on a growth on their body or on their tummy and the growth disappeared and others became pregnant and so with all faith I held my scarf up, as well as my project assignment receipt! I rubbed the scarf on my head, when I got home on my house keys, car keys, debits cards and so on!

After the service, as I cleared a room, a lady smiled at me and said she knows me and asked if I went to Open Heavens and I said no, Jesus House and left! I later returned and she said “I know why you look so familiar, you always serve me when I come to Jesus House” and we just laughed and smiled about it. Another lady who happens to go to Jesus house then said Yes I know you, you are getting married right? I first of all said no and then I said oh sorry yes I am (I said this with faith) and she immediately got it and joined her faith with mine and said- of course you are! How can you say no? Your wedding is next year isn’t it? I said yes by God’s grace! Ladies and gentlemen, the Lord hears and I know that this is only the beginning of great things to come! Ameeen! I will continue to keep you updated as things progress!

The Lord is quick to answer prayers especially in environments of praise and anointing! This evening, I received an email from a lady on auto trader asking if my car was still available. She requested to view it as soon as possible and an appointment has been booked for tomorrow! if you notice, I don’t wait till my testimonies are complete to testify because I know and believe that every good work the Lord has started in me, He will surely see through to completion in Jesus’ Name! Amen! I declare that the viewing will successfully take place tomorrow and myself and my car will receive all favour before the eyes of the buyers and they will immediately request to buy the car and at a rate that will positively shock me! I know that by Monday, I will have a substantial amount in the bank and I will be back to give the full testimony not because of me but because I believe in the power of the Most High God and in Him I am confident! Brethren, rejoice with me and say Amen!

Here are the prayer points from the service! We were given thirty minutes to pray these points, I adjure you to tap into this anointing and pray them now for third minutes and I pray the Lord will extend His second touch to you!

1. Praise Him for what He has already done.

2. Father, whatever can stand between me and Your touch tonight, please destroy with Your blood.

3. Father, please touch me again and again.

4. Father, please complete what You started in my life.

5. Father, please perfect that which concerns me.

6. Father, restore unto me everything the devil has stolen from me.

7. Father, let my blessing begin to overflow to others.

8. Father, please turn me into a mighty vessel unto honour in your hand.

9. Father, please make my blessings permanent.

10. Father, show me Your Glory.

11. Father, show me Your Almightiness.

12. Father, just have mercy on me.

He then asked us to add our other personal requests! Ask God for a Christmas miracle, New year present and another one just to show His Glory! It is well with you. I left my house at 7:30am yesterday morning and got home at 9:30 am today; 26 hours later with only about two hours of sleep in between and about four hours from the night before! Extremely exhausting and a feat I thought was impossible but I made it, it was worth it and if given the opportunity, I would do it all over again because I encountered God! If this was a job condition though, I doubt I would have done it as it was extremely brutal but for the Almighty who gave me life, keeps me alive, YES YES and YES! Father for You, I will do everything and if anything, I am privileged to have such an amazing opportunity to serve You! Thank You Lord! Ladies and gentlemen, four more days till I relocate to Lagos! Please keep me in your prayers! God bless you all

Only the counsel of God shall stand- Marriage, children & Vision.

Good Evening beautiful people,

I’m sure by now you know my favourite quote is “Only the Counsel of God shall stand” derived from Proverbs 19:21. So, you may be thinking I quickly wrote a post based on this but no that’s not what happened! I started scripting three different messages and then I thought to combine them but I thought what do they all have in common and that’s when it occurred to me- only the counsel of God shall stand! Amen! It may be a really long post but I implore you to read it all because I know the Lord will speak to you! Amen!

You may remember that about two weeks ago, I wrote a post about “More about the PoZ Vision”, I explicitly described everything that I want to achieve under the PoZ umbrella and I know people were amazed at how large the vision was but I said the Lord will see us through! As the Lord would have it, two days later at the midweek service in Church, the topic was security and all of a sudden, the minister started speaking about vision and said “You have this vision, you think it is so huge but the Lord will see you through”, for over five minutes she spoke about this and I thought wow, the Lord is speaking to me. I can’t remember the exact Words but all I can tell you is that two days prior I was blogging about my vision and how large it was and how I didn’t know how to go about and now the minister was saying those exact things and reassuring the person that the Lord was with them and will ensure they achieve the vision. I just praised God because He is all sufficient and I just felt encouraged and knew that God is about to do a new thing in my life.

Over the next few months, I will be launching a few new pages on the blog-

Career- Tips for CV writing, interview skills and etiquette , How to stand out at assessment centres and so on.

Events- A special page dedicated to events, Christian events, seminars and so on. I think it’s imperative for us as Christians to spend time communing with our peers. Remember that Iron sharpeneth Iron.

Ladies corner- Ladies did I hear you celebrate? Oh yea, we keep dealing with our “insides” but we also need to deal with the exterior. I will be posting tips for fitness, weight loss, hair, skin and so on! It’s an opportunity for us ladies to exchange tips and just work on our selves.

Men, unfortunately I have no tips for you I’m afraid! More reason for you to pray for my Prince of Zion to show up. Gentlemen, I’m sorry but I am positive that when the PoZ vision is fully functional, my husband will create a dedicated page; if not website where you can also congregate and speak about specific issues that affect men. Amen.

Power of the tongue

I shared the testimony of my sister’s marriage here but today I would like to tell you that our cousin also went through a terrible ordeal. My cousin was in a relationship with a man as of January this year; around March, they split up and it was an extremely trying time for her because they were planning to get engaged soon and she was also dealing with other family issues. At this time, my sister and her husband to-be were enjoying their courtship and really growing together, making it more difficult for my cousin who is extremely close to my sister! I however told my sister that 2013 was my cousin’s year and it shall be well; we need not worry! To make matters worse, two months after the break up, her former partner was engaged to another woman! it was an extremely sad scenario but I didn’t lament but continued prophesying a new season and beginning for her! When I went to Lagos in August, the topic of my cousin’s previous heartbreak came up and I boldly declared that 2013 shall be her year! I said it over and over again and noticed my sister smiling and she confessed that our cousin had met an exceptional man two-three months prior who was really loving and serious about having a good marriage; he had been to visit her parents in England to explain his intentions and they were presently at his father’s notifying him of their intention. I said Father, You are great and You will see this good work through to its completion! Amen! I got the wonderful news last week that their wedding is in February next year! Ladies and gentlemen, again no matter what you have been through, no matter what people have said and how much they have reduced you, ONLY THE COUNSEL OF GOD SHALL STAND! Amen!

Yesterday I was watching a TV show called “One Born: Twins and Triplets”. It’s a medical reality TV programme about expectant mothers of multiple children. It was most interesting and insightful. There were four couples; two expecting twins and two expecting triplets and what was astonishing was the extreme difficulty of these births; the doctors giving very sad diagnoses about their babies. The doctor kept warning the couples of the impending danger of their babies and how they may not survive or will be required to go through intensive care. Out of these four couples, a 28 year old woman carrying triplets said something admirable; she said “It will be fine, my babies will be the exception. They will break all the negative expectations” and I thought wow, a woman of faith and I said AMEN, AMEN! All other couples, immediately accepted their “fate” and didn’t want to believe their babies would make it! It won’t surprise you to hear that out of these four couples, the woman who made that bold declaration was the only one to deliver all three babies, healthy and well! During one of her scans, the doctors were checking to see if one baby was dead as expected and the baby was alive and well, the baby had even blossomed to their surprise! At 32 weeks, the doctors said they had to deliver the babies because one was in trouble but the mother stayed positive and declared they would all be fine! Guess what? All babies were delivered healthy; even the one who was thought to be in danger was completely healthy and okay; the doctors were astonished! My people, only the counsel of God shall stand! I don’t care what doctors, professors, lawyers, teachers have said! It is well with you and use your mouth to speak life into your situation. They have said “it is impossible for you to make a distinction” Tell them and tell yourself, with My God, it is possible and I will get that distinction. They have told you; “you can not give birth”; Tell yourself you are a mother and you shall carry your babies. “We don’t think you’ll make it to next year”- My God is the divine healer and great physician, He will heal me and I will see 2013, 2030, 2050 and beyond! Amen!

Sometimes, I speak to people about why they are unable to remain celibate and you hear all sorts of things like “It is the 21st century, it’s too hard in this society, I’m too old! I’m too rich”. I certainly believe that one of the most difficult places to remain celibate is in the showbiz and Hollywood Society. You may all remember the famous African American identical twin actresses; Tia & Tamera Mowry who used to be the stars of their own show; “Sister Sister”. Anyway the twins are now thirty-four year old successful women and wives. I came across an article about Tamera and it immediately caught my eye.

In an interview with, Tamera said that the two made the decision to be celibate and live separately because of their beliefs in a higher power. “We wanted to make sure that this relationship was what God wanted for our lives.  [In order to know] if we are meant to be together, we said, ‘It’s got to be God’s way and not our way.’ We didn’t want to half-step anything [or have clouded judgment]. So our right way was the way we felt God wanted us to do it, which was being celibate. We said to God, ‘This is who we are, I know you take us as we are, our faults, our fears, our joys, our hope as a couple and have your way,’” she said.

“[Living together] makes it harder for you. Have people around you to keep you accountable! Surround yourself with people who support your decision, because they’re only going to root you on. Make that covenant with God and with each other and just let go. God is going to see you through the difficult times. Whenever you’re feeling discouraged just pray together. Like I said, it’s not going to be a perfect journey, but you just have to keep God the center of your relationship,” she said.

Now, Tamera and her husband are both rich, famous and successful; she is an actress and her husband is a former professional baseball player turned Fox News Correspondent! Tamera is 34 and Adam is 41! They started courting when she was 27 and he was 34! They had all the “odds” against them but guess what? They did it and regardless of the Hollywood and American societal norms, they stuck to their Biblical principles and in their relationship and marriage, only the counsel of God stood! If this rich, famous, good-looking “older” couple could abstain from sex, might i add for SIX years, what is your excuse? Ladies and gentlemen, again I say ONLY THE COUNSEL OF GOD SHALL STAND!

You can read the full interview here-

My dear family, I sincerely hope you enjoyed this long but edifying post and will make that statement your motto! Always remind yourself and others around you that only the counsel of God shall stand! Forget about what you have been told, I don’t care what their status or title is, nobody beats the King of all kings and if Jesus says Yes, nobody can say no! Amen! Lastly, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof- Proverbs 18:21! Simple! Declare greatness! No matter the situation you are going through, speak life into it! Right now, I’m trying to sell my car and was having difficulty and I will be relocating next week; I arrive Lagos on the 1st of November 2012 but I say today, before God and all of you that I will successfully sell that car to a good responsible driver and at a great profitable price! As I enter Lagos on the 1st Day of November, my life shall enter into a new season of fruitfulness, answers to prayers and realisation of visions shall occur! I declare that this is MY season and as I move back to Lagos, the Lord shall settle me spiritually, physically, financially, materially, maritally and otherwise! I declare that 2012 shall end on a very high note for me and as great as 2012 shall be for me, the Lord shall outdo Himself in 2013! Mark my words, by the time PoZ celebrates it’s 1st year anniversary, it will be a prolific and renown platform where the Lord resides with a network of strong and mature children of God! I know that I will be a humble servant of God in Ministry, a successful business owner, accomplished career woman and my Prince of Zion and I will be planning the rest of our lives together and preparing for our work in Ministry! Amen! Did you all hear that? That’s my prophetic declaration and I say it shall be done in Jesus’ Name! Amen! Have a great evening and may the Lord bless you all! Remember I said, this is MY season!

Updates….Great news

Good Evening family,

Please excuse my absence over the last couple of days; I think it’s time I also update you on what’s been going on in my life. As you know, I returned from Lagos a month ago very much convinced about my relocation. So, at the end of this month, I will be finally relocating to Lagos, Nigeria for good. So, I’ve been trying to pack up my life and all that I know here into a few suitcases and make the move. I have so much to do, in terms of my home, my commitments, contracts, selling my car and so on.

Another thing is that for about two years now, I’ve known that I wanted t go into business and I tried to make the move but to no success so far. However, earlier on this year, the Lord divinely intervened and showed me what to do, where and how and I’m so grateful. The Lord has been leading me and directing me and before I move to Lagos, I need to set up a few things with regards to the business as I do have some prospective clients here in the UK as well. So, that’s another thing I will be working on.

I’m sure by now, you know one of my mottos is -get a life! In order to blow off some steam, I will be travelling this weekend- I’m off on holiday for seven days! I will be going on a mini Euro trip- France, Monaco, Germany and Poland! I’m really excited- I have been to France before but I went to Paris; this time I’ll be going to Nice. I’ve also been to Germany but I went to Cologne, this time I’ll be stopping in Berlin! I’m very excited to go on this trip, I’ve made it clear that I love travelling and experiencing new cultures and I’ve never been to Monaco or Poland; these are two very beautiful places with rich culture, historic sites and picturesque surroundings. I’m thankful to God for giving me the means and I’m happy I can go there and learn about other people. So, I will be gone for a week; I’m not sure if I’ll be able to blog but as soon as I get back, I will let you know how the trip went and hopefully post some photos as well.

As I said, at the end of the month, I’m off to Lagos! Will be working as a guidance counsellor for a year at the same time, launching the business earlier mentioned! I will let you know the nature of the business in the future, with a lot more detail. I’m still working on the logistics but God willing, before Christmas, we’ll be in operation. I am very excited because the business has been led by the Holy Spirit, God has been great and the business will create other businesses. One of the main aspects of the business is actually about passing on knowledge to other people and creating avenues for people to become entrepreneurs. I’m sure some of you will be interested and I sincerely pray the business will bless you one way or the other and I pray it will inspire you to chase your own dreams. Amen. So, there will be more about that soon.

I got the greatest news today and I’m just grateful to God. One of the main reasons why I decided to leave at the end of the month and not earlier is because of the RCCG Festival of Life Event in London on Friday 26th of October! It is such an amazing meeting with God and my favourite event worldwide. I just got the news that I will be helping out on the day; in terms of organising the event and I’m absolutely grateful to be part of something so awesome and powerful and I will be meeting the GO which is a wonderful opportunity to see the man who has led this vision for many years and has been a humble and faithful servant of God! I’ve worked on several events before and made tonnes of money but nothing has meant as much as this; I thank God for such an opportunity to put my hands to the plow and be a part of an event of such magnitude; over 60,000 people attend the FOL and meeting the visionary himself; someone who we all aspire to be is such a privilege! Wow! I am so glad for those days, working in my Church office for free and doing it with all my heart!

Proverbs 22:29– Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

When I worked there, I had no ulterior motives, hopes or dreams but to just serve the Lord! That was my intention but God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him! Oh, I declare that for all our readers, this month, this season, the Lord will place you before kings! You will stand before kings, dine with kings and not mean men! You shall reach your place of honour and lifting! Amen! Glorify the Lord with me and thank Him for such an opportunity as this! Thank You My Jehovah Jireh; I am ever grateful! Ladies and gentlemen, go in peace and serve the Lord with all your heart and might and He will lift you! Amen. God bless you all.

“Practice what you preach”- Hearing from God 1

Good Evening to all my beautiful and amazing readers,

How was your Monday? Blessed? Favoured? Fun filled? I certainly hope so! I had a message scheduled for today but over the weekend a few things happened and I just wanted to share them with you. My last post was “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit”. If you haven’t read it, I suggest you read it here-

On Friday night, I had a prayer meeting at Church which was extremely empowering and awesome! It was great to meet with God in the place of prayer and exciting to see all what He’s doing. My mother had dropped into town two days prior to this and the supply of water was running low at home and so I thought I had to dash straight to the Grocery store to get her an ample supply of water to make her feel comfortable! So, after the prayer meeting, I was tending to some admin duties when a gentleman in my department said “You live in DH right? please give me a lift home”. I hadn’t seen him a while, no hi, and besides I didn’t live there so I was a bit taken aback. I replied that I didn’t live there although it was close it wasn’t the way I was going. I then continued with my duties and he came to me about four times more. I was already being held up by the admin duties and didn’t want to drop him off at home then find my way to the big grocery store because I assumed it would be too late. So, I asked another lady in my department who was taking a cab home to that same area to kindly give him a lift. After I finished my duties, I entered my car and sped off, whilst driving, I noticed this man at the bus stop waiting in the cold and I thought “He didn’t go with the lady? Why not”, as a human being two things were battling inside of me; the first was my need to rush to that special grocery store to get my mother’s water (after all it was instrumental to her well being); while the second was the kind, altruistic, christian voice in me which said “you can’t leave this little man waiting in the cold” but the flesh in me tried to justify it but I found myself going past the round about and turning back towards the bus stop. I stopped for him and asked him to hop in. You should have heard the utter relief and appreciation in his voice (I had just cut his 30 minute journey intertwined with a long walk in the freezing cold with a 5 minute ride in a warm car, dropped right at his door step). He was utterly grateful and I felt so bad for refusing him the first time. I told him about my onward journey and to my surprise, his house was only 60 seconds from the grocery store I was heading to but on the other route I had never crossed; which was even a much shorter route than the one I had planned to go on. I mean, this was just great! By giving him a lift home, I got to discover a short route to this store and I got there on time (five minutes early) and was able to get all the water for my mother. I’m sure he was so grateful to me but I was equally grateful to him; as he did save me a lot of time and showed me something I didn’t know. All I could think of was- Trust God! Trust God! All those times when God asked you to do something or say something but you had your own plan, don’t you now wonder what you missed out on? Don’t we realise that the Lord knows the end from the beginning- Isaiah 46:10? I am just glad that I heard God and that I did heed to His voice in the end because I was opportuned to have blessed someone and I was also blessed as well. Praise the Lord!

My encounter with God didn’t end there though. At the grocery store, I decided to get her 4 packs of 4×4 water, the bottles are 2 litres each, so that’s quite a lot! I put them in my car and made my way home! As I approached my apartment, I noticed there was a huge influx of cars parked and made the rounds looking for a parking space, I drove around and round the block time and time again for over fifteen minutes until I finally found a parking space two streets away from my home. I parked the car and proceeded to unload the bottles into my shopping trolly bags (the ones the old ladies use to carry their shopping). I had two of them and so I placed 2 packs of water in each trolley and made my way home! Now, I had to walk up the street to a mini junction and then cross over, turn left and walk further up the hill to my apartment! It was a horrendous experience; dragging 8litres of water in each hand plus my body weight up this very steep hill on a very cold night! It was extremely energy busting and I said to God- Why? Why would you have me do this? What the Lord said to me was so clear that I immediately shut up and bore the brunt of this work. He said- “practise what you preach” and I remembered that my post that morning was about your body and I spoke about exercise and so on, meanwhile I hadn’t been exercising. Although I admitted in that post that I hadn’t been faithful to my body with regards to diet and exercise, it was now in my power to implement changes and see them through and it just isn’t limited to exercise but to all other areas of my life. I think this also tied in with what happened earlier in which as Christians, we are encouraged to show and give love to people even if we have to inconvenience ourselves for the person and even when the person is “not loveable”. It was a great epiphany and I was happy to oblige.

However, earlier on, on that same Friday after writing that post in which I mentioned going for medical check ups, I booked several appointments for myself (dentist, doctor’s, blood test to check my genotype and lastly an optician’s. The reason why I’ve decided to check my blood test is because whilst growing up I was led to believe I was AC, however whilst on my vacation in Nigeria, I did a test and I was told I was AS. As such, I am doing another one here just to get a second opinion and be sure; as they say in Proverbs 11:14, in the multitude of counsellors, there is safety! Amen! Anyway, so I also decided to visit the opticians because the last time I was there was during the easter of 2010 and I thought to just go there for “going sake”. My appointment was scheduled for 10:40 am on Saturday morning and well, thank God I went! This is when I say- Praise the Lord! I went there and the optician said my eyes were healthy but there was an issue. I am longsighted but my eyes aren’t comfortable reading things at close range which is seriously straining my eyes and the short story is that, I need glasses! I was shocked! Dumbfounded! I couldn’t even pick out a pair because I hadn’t expected it and so, I picked up their notes and swiftly made my way out! On my way home, all I could think of was “how didn’t I notice? How could I miss this? But the main thing I could think of was “Wow! God is great, I really should practise what I preach, it’s just “saved” me”.

These really are three of my personal experiences that happened all within twenty-four hours but were very important and I just thank God for giving us the opportunity to hear Him and the grace and strength to acknowledge His voice and heed to it! It is indeed a great blessing! Whilst typing this, I remembered two more messages that I need to post before I return to my original schedule; ironically both of them are related to hearing from God! This was not at all a deliberate plan and I’ve only just noticed and I believe it is the Lord’s doing and I decree that you will hear from God in these coming days and your life will never remain the same! You will encounter God and wherever you go henceforth, people will ask you why you are glowing. Amen! Have a blessed day my darling family; God bless you all!

Love and Justice

Good Afternoon everyone,

Praise the Lord! Thanking God for a new day! Thanking Him for I can see, type, hear, walk, run, dance and laugh! Our God is the most high God! I just feel the sense of amazement and joy in my heart right now; I don’t know what it is but all I can say is that God is great! I think it’s just amazing that we have this platform where we can connect and seek God together! It’s just a blessing and if I’m being honest; the PoZ blog and family are very important to me and I love you all! Thank you so much for all the love and for all the prayers! You are the most amazing and the most beautiful bunch of people! I appreciate you all! God bless you!

As you all know, when I was in Nigeria, I attended Daystar Christian Centre Church and the Sunday before I left, the message that Rev Sam Adeyemi preached was on “Love and justice”. I just knew I had to share it with you; I briefly touched on this in my message about Nigeria but I know that this is a very important topic that needs it’s own post and I am positive that it will bless you and by God’s grace change your life forever. Amen! Let’s just give God the praise!

Firstly, I have to say that as Christians, we must stand for justice; at home, in the workplace and in our country! Justice is enforcing what is morally right and the God that we serve is a God of justice! Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne and rulership. That is how important justice is to our God!

Psalms 89:14Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Deuteronomy 10:17-19– For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment. Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

When God loves you, He ensures that you are not cheated or deprived of what is yours. The other side of this is that He loves your neighbour as much as He loves you, so He won’t allow you to cheat your neighbour because He loves them equally.

Acts 10: 34– Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons

God insists on justice so each person won’t be deprived of what is rightfully their’s. We need to understand the purpose of the resources Jesus has given us. When you get power, the best thing to do with it is to ensure equality in the society and I say this boldly because I know that many readers are reaching their place of honour and lifting and this is our season of promotion, enlargement and announcement! Many of us our reaching new heights this season and assuming higher positions and responsibility and we must endeavour to use it rightly! Brothers and sisters, when you get power and you have the spirit of God in you, always try to create equality! Stand in the gap for the meek, the weak and the oppressed! Be it at your workplace, in your family, in your home, in your Church, department, even while you are standing at the queue in the grocery store! Everyday we watch things happen that are unjust but I ask you today; use your power to ensure equality wherever you go and in the society at large. Amen.

Isaiah 40:29- He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Have you noticed that the Lord always tries to create equality and ensure that there is justice? That’s what he wants us to do.

Luke 4:18-19– The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

We need to stand for justice at every opportunity we get. Injustice causes the society to disintegrate. Do you realise that one of the reasons that the Lord destroyed the city of Sodom and Gomorrah was because of injustice? I’m sure you missed that; I certainly did! Many of us think it was just because of homosexuality. However, there was so much injustice in that city.

Ezekiel 16:49– Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Did you get that? Did somebody receive that Word? There was fullness of bread and abundance of riches in the land but there were poor people who were left to their own devices and no help rendered to them. That is injustice and our God is a God of justice! When you see human beings through God’s eyes, you will hate injustice. You can not have the love of God and remain inactive in the face of injustice and I know every reader right now knows of injustice happening around them, some of you can even see it happening and you need to stop it!
What do you do?
Isaiah 1:17- Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.
You can not love God and not love man. You can not love man and fail to seek justice for them. Here’s what we can all do.
1- The first part is to alleviate the suffering of the people. For example, there’s a lady I met who was brought to this country to study but as soon as she got here, she’s been kept at home by her relatives and used as a maid/nanny and she isn’t paid. One of the first things I did was to support her, financially. The lady complained that she had no money for toiletries, so I decided to buy shampoos, conditioners, toothpaste, shower gels, mouthwash and so on for her. That is something you can do, it doesn’t have to be money. You can buy food, toiletries or accommodate them.
2- Empower the hurting- One instrumental thing is to teach the oppressed to know their rights. Help them to know that what they are going through is not right and should not be tolerate. Many people who suffer such afflictions are not aware about what they are entitled to but you need to educate them. For example, in the case of this lady, I had to explain her rights to her so she could make informed decisions.
3- Confront the oppressor- When I say confront, I don’t mean it in a violent way but in a way to understand what the situation is. You need to know why they are doing this and you need to reach an agreement on how to help the victim. A lot of wisdom and Godly counsel is required for this to be successful.
I challenge you all to take up one case of injustice this week and show the love of God! Help someone who is being oppressed or cheated and just watch their life come back together! Remember that we are blessed so we can be a blessing to others. May the Lord give us grace, strength and faith to stand up for the weak and needy and may His will be done! God bless you all.

Dear all,

Good Morning to you all and Praise the living God! I have certainly missed you but I am back in London now! We bless God for a great time in Lagos, it was absolutely amazing and I thank Him for journey mercies back! I went back, I even travelled within the country and came back with great news, no sorrow, no death, no accident, no bad news! Let His Name be praised above every other name!

I am back to regular blogging now and I have so many messages for you and I am very excited to share them with you. I’ve received so many revelations from God and I pray they will bless you. As you all know by now, I am originally Nigerian. I was born in England but I grew up in Nigeria up until I was 15 and then moved back to England, however, I’ve always gone back yearly and have kept a good relationship with Nigeria.

Today’s post is inspired from my three week break in Nigeria and I know that a large proportion of my readers are Nigerian or generally African and so I pray this blesses you. The first thing I noticed when I got to Nigeria was the electricity “situation” had improved. I tell you that when I was in Lagos  in April this year, we probably had the generator on for over 40hours a week and this time, I was in Nigeria for three weeks and in that time, the generator was used for less than 2 hours collectively; compared to 120 hours previously! I mean, that is a vast improvement! I can count the amount of times they “took light”. Absolutely amazing and I just began to praise the Lord because it was just amazing! I honestly couldn’t believe it; this is the same country where we had power for probably 12 hours a day at the most and I just believe that if Nigeria can make such a vast improvement in this area, Nigeria can and will become a great nation. The lack of electricity used to be one of our negative trademarks but today, they are leaving that behind. I am so proud, happy and believe that if we all believe, we can make major changes in other areas.

On the other hand, the horror stories of murders, kidnapping, armed robbery and bombings were very rampant and it’s just sad to see all this evil manifesting in our country but I want to tell you today that, everything that happens in the physical is first determined in the spirit realm and as Christians, we have authority to move and shakes things both in the spiritual and physical.

Ephesians 6:12– For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Matthew 18:18- 20– Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

What am I saying here? As Christians, we can speak to God, we have the authority and as Nigerians, we can take up the case of our family, home, street, neighbourhood and country to Him. We have the authority and resources to stand in the gap and intercede! I am speaking from experience, one day I received bad news about something occurring in Nigeria and I prayed to God and said “Lord this is what I want” it was a really big stretch but I said it with all faith and power and to my surprise, I got the news within two days I believe and I was absolutely shocked and just thanked God!

It is not impossible! Why should we complain about things if we are not doing anything? Many of us pray for ourselves, our families but how many of us actually take five minutes to commit our dear country into God’s hands. In my Church, here in England, we pray for revival in England. For the past few months, that’s what we’ve been focused on! I just love it because as much as my blood is Nigerian, I am very British at heart as well, I was born here, I’ve worked here, did my A-Levels, BSc and Master’s here and so I pray for a revival in the UK but what about Nigeria? Let’s pray for this country that the Holy Spirit will touch us and bring an end to terrorism, war, violence and evil.

The last thing I want to speak about is injustice in Nigeria! Nigeria is a country where the rich are very rich and the poor; extremely poor! It is a country where there is a lot of injustice, a lot of people misuse their positions and bring about suffering, there’s looting of public funds, extreme theft in government and so much violence but I’m here to tell you that it all starts with you. How do you treat your domestic staff, your maid, cook or driver? I’ve heard about people beating their house maids, spitting in their faces, withholding their salaries from them, men forcing their maids to sleep with them or they would send them back to the village. What about people who bribe their lecturers to pass them or offer sex for good grades? There is just so much injustice. In certain companies, you don’t get in based on what you know but who you know. Even for many business owners, there can be a lot of lying, deceit and forgery involved. It’s very sad especially when Christians get caught up in this!

Hebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

He is the same in England, China and Nigeria! We shouldn’t bend to society’s expectations just because we want to blend in.

Matthew 5:13-14– Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

We are the salt and light of this world, we should not be conformed to what others are doing. I read something by Pastor E.A Adeboye that really changed my life forever. He said, if you have to lie, steal or commit sin to get something then that thing is not from the Lord. For example, when you cut down your age to apply for a job, or when you submit fake certificates or lie about your qualifications at a job interview! You are committing sin and you are not helping yourself! Stand firm on the Word of God, be true, be honest and be Holy and the Lord will do for you what no other man can do! Amen! That is your part, stand for God and stand firm!

Apart from praying for the nation, use your skills to bless the country! I have worked in England, I’ve schooled here and gathered so much knowledge and experience and I feel I need to bless my country! If God has called you to live in a developing country or you are from one, be a resource to your country. What has God called you to do? For me, I feel called to deal with the institution of marriage and the injustice done to women, I also feel called to help Nigeria become a flourishing nation that will attract tourists. What has God called you to do for Nigeria or your country? May your Name be among the list of people who the populous of your country will celebrate and applaud! Amen!

I pray for Nigeria today, that God will bring positive change to the country and will alleviate the suffering and injustice done to its people. I pray that the Lord’s name will reign supreme in every home, every firm, and meeting in that country! His Name will be glorified in the house of assembly and in every street corner and high place! I pray that there will be an uprising in that country and change will come to Nigeria! Injustice, corruption and violence shall be a thing of the past. I dare you to intercede for your country and spend ten minutes a day praying for Nigeria!

A Prayer for the Nations

Daily, international events are setting the stage for Jesus’ return. As believers in every land continue to pray on behalf of their leaders, God is pouring out His Spirit—making tremendous power available to guide the governments of every nation according to His divine will and plan. Psalms 2:8, The Amplified Bible, says, “Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.” As you stand for your nation or other nations of the world, you can pray the following:
Oh God in heaven, we come before You in the Name of Jesus on behalf of the leaders of Nigeria. First of all in accordance with I Timothy 2:1-2, we intercede and give thanks for kings and all in authority and expect to live a quiet and peaceable life. We pray for the Word of God to be given free course and Your people to be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men (II Thessalonians 3:1-2).
The heart of the king is in Your hand and You will turn it whichever way You choose (Proverbs 21:1). We ask You to direct the heart and mind of Goodluck Jonathan, Namadi Sambo and the Governor of my state- Babatunde Fashola to make decisions that will lead Nigeria in Your ways and according to Your Word.
We thank You, Lord, for bringing change to the politics of Nigeria. Thank You for changing
the voices of influence to speak in agreement with Your Word. We ask You to send laborers filled with the spirit of wisdom and might, to surround the leaders of Nigeria with Godly counsel and insight. We also ask You to remove from positions of authority those who stubbornly oppose righteousness, and replace them with men and women who will follow You and Your appointed course for Nigeria.
As we enter the final hours of the last days, we ask for the spirit of faith, the workings of miracles, for signs, wonders, gifts and demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and power to be in strong operation. Let believers in Nigeria and in every land be unified to stand strong by faith in Jesus, the Anointed One and His anointing, that Your glory may be revealed in all the earth.
Thank you, Lord, that these requests come to pass. We believe and receive. Amen.
I urge you to say this prayer everyday and pray about specific things that are affecting Nigeria, your state, local government and area. Pray for at least ten minutes everyday and lets see the power of God unfold before our eyes. What is bothering you about Nigeria, take it to God in prayer and remember that faith without works is dead- James 2:14. So, as we pray to God and make these positive declarations, let’s get out there put our hands to the plow. Some of us already know what it is we can do to help Nigeria, go ahead and do it and to those who are already active, may the Lord bless the works of your hands!! God bless Nigeria and God bless you all! I love you and see you tomorrow, by God’s Grace! Amen!

A reader’s contribution

Good Morning everyone,
I hope you all had a great, fun filled or relaxing weekend. I certainly did! August has ushered my family, Church, friends and I into a month of greatness and destiny! 8 is the number of new beginnings! May this month be the best you’ve ever had so far; may this be a new and great beginning for you! May you recover all the losses from the first part of the year in this new beginning, Amen! May all your prayer requests be granted unto you as you enter into this new beginning! Amen! This morning, I woke up to a very inspirational email from a lovely reader of ours. A young woman with such a passion for God and His love; it’s actually the same lady who sent us the “Sex, lies& fairytales” video! I hope this inspires and gives you divine understanding; as it blesses you, please lift up this lady in your prayers, pray in accordance with the word in Proverbs 11:25- The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. Let’s pray that the Lord will surely give her a new beginning, perfect all that concerns her and just as she has watered us, may the Lord also water her with evidence; may He embarrass her with blessings and testimonies
Galatians 5:13-26 (ERV)
My brothers and sisters, God chose you to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful selves. Instead, serve each other with love. The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbour the same as you love yourself.” If you continue hurting each other and tearing each other apart, be careful, or you will completely destroy each other.

So I tell you, live the way the Spirit leads you. Then you will not do the evil things your sinful self wants. The sinful self wants what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is against the sinful self. They are always fighting against each other, so that you don’t do what you really want to do. But if you let the Spirit lead you, you are not under law.

The wrong things the sinful self does are clear: committing sexual sin, being morally bad, doing all kinds of shameful things, worshiping false gods, taking part in witchcraft, hating people, causing trouble, being jealous, angry or selfish, causing people to argue and divide into separate groups, being filled with envy, getting drunk, having wild parties, and doing other things like this. I warn you now as I warned you before: The people who do these things will not have a part in God’s kingdom. But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these kinds of things. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their sinful self. They have given up their old selfish feelings and the evil things they wanted to do.We get our new life from the Spirit, so we should follow the Spirit. We must not feel proud and boast about ourselves. We must not cause trouble for each other or be jealous of each other.
Her message
This passage and actual version struck me at workers’ prayer a church. It says we are not tied down by anything, not even the devil because God has given us freedom. But as a matter of fact we can’t just take such freedom for granted. We should rather use it to honour God. The fact that God has given us life when he said ” I put before thee life and death, choose life that ye may live… “, doesn’t mean we should walk into death intentionally and think that He would actually save us.
Paul further went on to talk about our neighbours. An example of our neighbour is shown in the story of the good samaritan. Our neighbour is not someone we do things for with the hope and thought of getting an immediate reward or praise. Our neighbour is someone we render help to out of compassion and love for God with no expectation of immediate rewards. Render help to those around you. show them mercy and let them see the light of God radiating in your life. You know souls have been won to Christ just by helping people and putting on a smiling face. Rather than fighting with people, causing drama or being negative, be helpful unto others. Strive to be compassionate towards those that are really in need of it and you will realize how peaceful it is and you will even be happy with yourself.
Paul went on to distinguish between our self and our spirit. The bible says ” the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” Most times our our flesh (self) would want to do things in contrary to the agreement of the spirit. But if the Spirit within us is the Spirit of God, it will surely overcome the self. Don’t live your life by what your self or flesh wants. Live your life by what the Holy spirit says. Paul also listed the kinds of sin that our self can make us commit. I love this version of the scriptures because it actually explained each sin in layman’s english.
The kingdom of God is for those who obey the word and live by it and make use of the fruits of the spirit. There is a difference between gifts and fruits. the scripture says “by their fruits ye shall know them”. We as christians are identified by the fruits we produce. Fruits like the ones paul listed in the passage will definitely show that we are of Him that created the world. The gifts are what God has given us and it could either make or mar us depending on how we use them. I pray that whatever gift that has been placed in our hands will not be a reason for us to lose sight of what God has in stock for us.
Let’s live by the leading of the Spirit because the Spirit of God never lies. Let God set our priorities for us so we don’t fall astray. At the end of the day, all things will work together for all that love God.
Please feel free to share and forward this to as many people who need it and may God give us all a clear understanding of His word. Amen.
God bless you OT, for sharing this word with you. I pray that this will reach out and touch someone who has been struggling with their flesh; I pray this message will bring insight, understanding and freedom to you. May you never be held captive by your flesh. May the Lord manifest the fruits of the spirit and the workings of the spirit in your life henceforth. May you use the gifts He gave you for good and by your friendly and approachable demeanour, may you win souls for Christ. Amen. God bless you all.
