RCCG Festival of Life Update

Good Evening family,

Quick post just to update you! As you know, the RCCG Festival of Life London took place yesterday at the Excel Centre and I was asked to help out before the event! Anyway, coupled with my moving, the day before (Thursday) was a very busy one for me; especially trying to sell my car! That was a great difficulty; I had received absolutely NO interest on auto trader only a few personal friends enquiring but nothing solid! It was a great source of disappointment for me!

The Festival of Life started at 8pm last night and ended at 5:30am this morning- The theme was- “The Second Touch”! So, about 9 and a half hours of praising God! Awesome! Anyway, I was due to get to the Excel centre 12 hours before the event started; 8am yesterday! Stay for the event and after the event ended at half 5, clear up till about half 8! That meant working for 24hours straight. 8am Friday till after the event; 8:30am today! So, I knew a good night’s rest was essential. I didn’t get to bed till about 1am and needed to be up by 6 but I was unable to sleep. In addition to that, I missed my alarm and woke up at 7am and left the house at half 7. We were meant to gather at 8am to pray with the GO- Pastor E.A Adeboye and meet him and then start our various task but I had car trouble and didn’t get there till half 9 and so I was unable to meet him.

But the Lord is forever faithful! I was setting up the vip rooms for some of the Pastors and I was allocated two rooms on the GO’s floor and inspected all the rooms on the floor including that of the GO and his wife. He wasn’t in the room at the time but I was happy to at least have had some form of contact with him and was grateful. Anyway, we worked up until the event started at 8pm. At this time I was extremely tired, having driven two hours to get there and walking, carrying and working for about eleven hours, we went to my colleague’s Hotel room (also inside the venue) to relax. I knew I needed the rest but decided I would return to the event hall at midnight as the GO normally starts preaching at 1am.

I fell asleep and had set an alarm to go back to the service at midnight! Unfortunately, I missed the alarm again as I was thoroughly exhausted! I mentally decided to just sleep since I was so tired. To my surprise, around 1am, one of my colleagues in the room started snoring profusely and I tried to shut my ears, turned several times but I couldn’t sleep! I was AWAKENED and could no longer fall asleep and so I got up and started getting ready to return to the venue! Can you believe that as soon as I was fully awake, the snoring stopped? I knew it was the Lord! If not for the horrible snoring, I would have missed the message. I quickly headed right back to the hall and started taking notes of the Word! It was amazing as always; I can always describe a message but never the GO’s! So hard to put into words but every bit of it appealed to me and I praised God! I went there believing in God for spiritual growth personally, ministry growth, healing upon my father, marital settlement, a distinction in my Master’s and a smooth relocation to Nigeria!

The GO was led by God to pray for different categories of people. First, the students and so I stood up as I am still awaiting my results from the Post graduate project! I brought along the assignment receipt for the dissertation and held it up and prayed and received His prophecies! Brethren, celebrate with me because my distinction is sure! It is done; not because of anything I’ve done but because the Lord has said it! He prayed for eligible singles believing in God for a spouse, I stood up and received every word of prophecy. Again my family, celebrate with me because my wedding is fast approaching and my Godly inspirational marriage will soon be a point of contact for thousands of Christians including YOU! Amen! He prayed for those expecting financial upliftment, I stood again and received it! Brethren, you are hearing from a woman who’s tithe is about to increase magnificently! Amen! Another category mentioned was that of married women who have been unable to bear children, I stood in the gap for an aunt of mine and for readers who are in this situation. I may not know you but I know that our God is able and by the power of God, this month you shall conceive and if it is twins or triplets you want, in nine months time, you will carry your healthy children! Amen!

The last part of the service is something the GO was directed to do many years ago, when the congregation holds up a piece of cloth- handkerchief, scarf and so on and the anointing of God falls upon this item and it is up to you to exercise faith or not with this. But I have heard testimonies of people who did that and rubbed the cloth on a growth on their body or on their tummy and the growth disappeared and others became pregnant and so with all faith I held my scarf up, as well as my project assignment receipt! I rubbed the scarf on my head, when I got home on my house keys, car keys, debits cards and so on!

After the service, as I cleared a room, a lady smiled at me and said she knows me and asked if I went to Open Heavens and I said no, Jesus House and left! I later returned and she said “I know why you look so familiar, you always serve me when I come to Jesus House” and we just laughed and smiled about it. Another lady who happens to go to Jesus house then said Yes I know you, you are getting married right? I first of all said no and then I said oh sorry yes I am (I said this with faith) and she immediately got it and joined her faith with mine and said- of course you are! How can you say no? Your wedding is next year isn’t it? I said yes by God’s grace! Ladies and gentlemen, the Lord hears and I know that this is only the beginning of great things to come! Ameeen! I will continue to keep you updated as things progress!

The Lord is quick to answer prayers especially in environments of praise and anointing! This evening, I received an email from a lady on auto trader asking if my car was still available. She requested to view it as soon as possible and an appointment has been booked for tomorrow! if you notice, I don’t wait till my testimonies are complete to testify because I know and believe that every good work the Lord has started in me, He will surely see through to completion in Jesus’ Name! Amen! I declare that the viewing will successfully take place tomorrow and myself and my car will receive all favour before the eyes of the buyers and they will immediately request to buy the car and at a rate that will positively shock me! I know that by Monday, I will have a substantial amount in the bank and I will be back to give the full testimony not because of me but because I believe in the power of the Most High God and in Him I am confident! Brethren, rejoice with me and say Amen!

Here are the prayer points from the service! We were given thirty minutes to pray these points, I adjure you to tap into this anointing and pray them now for third minutes and I pray the Lord will extend His second touch to you!

1. Praise Him for what He has already done.

2. Father, whatever can stand between me and Your touch tonight, please destroy with Your blood.

3. Father, please touch me again and again.

4. Father, please complete what You started in my life.

5. Father, please perfect that which concerns me.

6. Father, restore unto me everything the devil has stolen from me.

7. Father, let my blessing begin to overflow to others.

8. Father, please turn me into a mighty vessel unto honour in your hand.

9. Father, please make my blessings permanent.

10. Father, show me Your Glory.

11. Father, show me Your Almightiness.

12. Father, just have mercy on me.

He then asked us to add our other personal requests! Ask God for a Christmas miracle, New year present and another one just to show His Glory! It is well with you. I left my house at 7:30am yesterday morning and got home at 9:30 am today; 26 hours later with only about two hours of sleep in between and about four hours from the night before! Extremely exhausting and a feat I thought was impossible but I made it, it was worth it and if given the opportunity, I would do it all over again because I encountered God! If this was a job condition though, I doubt I would have done it as it was extremely brutal but for the Almighty who gave me life, keeps me alive, YES YES and YES! Father for You, I will do everything and if anything, I am privileged to have such an amazing opportunity to serve You! Thank You Lord! Ladies and gentlemen, four more days till I relocate to Lagos! Please keep me in your prayers! God bless you all

Updates….Great news

Good Evening family,

Please excuse my absence over the last couple of days; I think it’s time I also update you on what’s been going on in my life. As you know, I returned from Lagos a month ago very much convinced about my relocation. So, at the end of this month, I will be finally relocating to Lagos, Nigeria for good. So, I’ve been trying to pack up my life and all that I know here into a few suitcases and make the move. I have so much to do, in terms of my home, my commitments, contracts, selling my car and so on.

Another thing is that for about two years now, I’ve known that I wanted t go into business and I tried to make the move but to no success so far. However, earlier on this year, the Lord divinely intervened and showed me what to do, where and how and I’m so grateful. The Lord has been leading me and directing me and before I move to Lagos, I need to set up a few things with regards to the business as I do have some prospective clients here in the UK as well. So, that’s another thing I will be working on.

I’m sure by now, you know one of my mottos is -get a life! In order to blow off some steam, I will be travelling this weekend- I’m off on holiday for seven days! I will be going on a mini Euro trip- France, Monaco, Germany and Poland! I’m really excited- I have been to France before but I went to Paris; this time I’ll be going to Nice. I’ve also been to Germany but I went to Cologne, this time I’ll be stopping in Berlin! I’m very excited to go on this trip, I’ve made it clear that I love travelling and experiencing new cultures and I’ve never been to Monaco or Poland; these are two very beautiful places with rich culture, historic sites and picturesque surroundings. I’m thankful to God for giving me the means and I’m happy I can go there and learn about other people. So, I will be gone for a week; I’m not sure if I’ll be able to blog but as soon as I get back, I will let you know how the trip went and hopefully post some photos as well.

As I said, at the end of the month, I’m off to Lagos! Will be working as a guidance counsellor for a year at the same time, launching the business earlier mentioned! I will let you know the nature of the business in the future, with a lot more detail. I’m still working on the logistics but God willing, before Christmas, we’ll be in operation. I am very excited because the business has been led by the Holy Spirit, God has been great and the business will create other businesses. One of the main aspects of the business is actually about passing on knowledge to other people and creating avenues for people to become entrepreneurs. I’m sure some of you will be interested and I sincerely pray the business will bless you one way or the other and I pray it will inspire you to chase your own dreams. Amen. So, there will be more about that soon.

I got the greatest news today and I’m just grateful to God. One of the main reasons why I decided to leave at the end of the month and not earlier is because of the RCCG Festival of Life Event in London on Friday 26th of October! It is such an amazing meeting with God and my favourite event worldwide. I just got the news that I will be helping out on the day; in terms of organising the event and I’m absolutely grateful to be part of something so awesome and powerful and I will be meeting the GO which is a wonderful opportunity to see the man who has led this vision for many years and has been a humble and faithful servant of God! I’ve worked on several events before and made tonnes of money but nothing has meant as much as this; I thank God for such an opportunity to put my hands to the plow and be a part of an event of such magnitude; over 60,000 people attend the FOL and meeting the visionary himself; someone who we all aspire to be is such a privilege! Wow! I am so glad for those days, working in my Church office for free and doing it with all my heart!

Proverbs 22:29– Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

When I worked there, I had no ulterior motives, hopes or dreams but to just serve the Lord! That was my intention but God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him! Oh, I declare that for all our readers, this month, this season, the Lord will place you before kings! You will stand before kings, dine with kings and not mean men! You shall reach your place of honour and lifting! Amen! Glorify the Lord with me and thank Him for such an opportunity as this! Thank You My Jehovah Jireh; I am ever grateful! Ladies and gentlemen, go in peace and serve the Lord with all your heart and might and He will lift you! Amen. God bless you all.

“Practice what you preach”- Hearing from God 1

Good Evening to all my beautiful and amazing readers,

How was your Monday? Blessed? Favoured? Fun filled? I certainly hope so! I had a message scheduled for today but over the weekend a few things happened and I just wanted to share them with you. My last post was “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit”. If you haven’t read it, I suggest you read it here-

On Friday night, I had a prayer meeting at Church which was extremely empowering and awesome! It was great to meet with God in the place of prayer and exciting to see all what He’s doing. My mother had dropped into town two days prior to this and the supply of water was running low at home and so I thought I had to dash straight to the Grocery store to get her an ample supply of water to make her feel comfortable! So, after the prayer meeting, I was tending to some admin duties when a gentleman in my department said “You live in DH right? please give me a lift home”. I hadn’t seen him a while, no hi, and besides I didn’t live there so I was a bit taken aback. I replied that I didn’t live there although it was close it wasn’t the way I was going. I then continued with my duties and he came to me about four times more. I was already being held up by the admin duties and didn’t want to drop him off at home then find my way to the big grocery store because I assumed it would be too late. So, I asked another lady in my department who was taking a cab home to that same area to kindly give him a lift. After I finished my duties, I entered my car and sped off, whilst driving, I noticed this man at the bus stop waiting in the cold and I thought “He didn’t go with the lady? Why not”, as a human being two things were battling inside of me; the first was my need to rush to that special grocery store to get my mother’s water (after all it was instrumental to her well being); while the second was the kind, altruistic, christian voice in me which said “you can’t leave this little man waiting in the cold” but the flesh in me tried to justify it but I found myself going past the round about and turning back towards the bus stop. I stopped for him and asked him to hop in. You should have heard the utter relief and appreciation in his voice (I had just cut his 30 minute journey intertwined with a long walk in the freezing cold with a 5 minute ride in a warm car, dropped right at his door step). He was utterly grateful and I felt so bad for refusing him the first time. I told him about my onward journey and to my surprise, his house was only 60 seconds from the grocery store I was heading to but on the other route I had never crossed; which was even a much shorter route than the one I had planned to go on. I mean, this was just great! By giving him a lift home, I got to discover a short route to this store and I got there on time (five minutes early) and was able to get all the water for my mother. I’m sure he was so grateful to me but I was equally grateful to him; as he did save me a lot of time and showed me something I didn’t know. All I could think of was- Trust God! Trust God! All those times when God asked you to do something or say something but you had your own plan, don’t you now wonder what you missed out on? Don’t we realise that the Lord knows the end from the beginning- Isaiah 46:10? I am just glad that I heard God and that I did heed to His voice in the end because I was opportuned to have blessed someone and I was also blessed as well. Praise the Lord!

My encounter with God didn’t end there though. At the grocery store, I decided to get her 4 packs of 4×4 water, the bottles are 2 litres each, so that’s quite a lot! I put them in my car and made my way home! As I approached my apartment, I noticed there was a huge influx of cars parked and made the rounds looking for a parking space, I drove around and round the block time and time again for over fifteen minutes until I finally found a parking space two streets away from my home. I parked the car and proceeded to unload the bottles into my shopping trolly bags (the ones the old ladies use to carry their shopping). I had two of them and so I placed 2 packs of water in each trolley and made my way home! Now, I had to walk up the street to a mini junction and then cross over, turn left and walk further up the hill to my apartment! It was a horrendous experience; dragging 8litres of water in each hand plus my body weight up this very steep hill on a very cold night! It was extremely energy busting and I said to God- Why? Why would you have me do this? What the Lord said to me was so clear that I immediately shut up and bore the brunt of this work. He said- “practise what you preach” and I remembered that my post that morning was about your body and I spoke about exercise and so on, meanwhile I hadn’t been exercising. Although I admitted in that post that I hadn’t been faithful to my body with regards to diet and exercise, it was now in my power to implement changes and see them through and it just isn’t limited to exercise but to all other areas of my life. I think this also tied in with what happened earlier in which as Christians, we are encouraged to show and give love to people even if we have to inconvenience ourselves for the person and even when the person is “not loveable”. It was a great epiphany and I was happy to oblige.

However, earlier on, on that same Friday after writing that post in which I mentioned going for medical check ups, I booked several appointments for myself (dentist, doctor’s, blood test to check my genotype and lastly an optician’s. The reason why I’ve decided to check my blood test is because whilst growing up I was led to believe I was AC, however whilst on my vacation in Nigeria, I did a test and I was told I was AS. As such, I am doing another one here just to get a second opinion and be sure; as they say in Proverbs 11:14, in the multitude of counsellors, there is safety! Amen! Anyway, so I also decided to visit the opticians because the last time I was there was during the easter of 2010 and I thought to just go there for “going sake”. My appointment was scheduled for 10:40 am on Saturday morning and well, thank God I went! This is when I say- Praise the Lord! I went there and the optician said my eyes were healthy but there was an issue. I am longsighted but my eyes aren’t comfortable reading things at close range which is seriously straining my eyes and the short story is that, I need glasses! I was shocked! Dumbfounded! I couldn’t even pick out a pair because I hadn’t expected it and so, I picked up their notes and swiftly made my way out! On my way home, all I could think of was “how didn’t I notice? How could I miss this? But the main thing I could think of was “Wow! God is great, I really should practise what I preach, it’s just “saved” me”.

These really are three of my personal experiences that happened all within twenty-four hours but were very important and I just thank God for giving us the opportunity to hear Him and the grace and strength to acknowledge His voice and heed to it! It is indeed a great blessing! Whilst typing this, I remembered two more messages that I need to post before I return to my original schedule; ironically both of them are related to hearing from God! This was not at all a deliberate plan and I’ve only just noticed and I believe it is the Lord’s doing and I decree that you will hear from God in these coming days and your life will never remain the same! You will encounter God and wherever you go henceforth, people will ask you why you are glowing. Amen! Have a blessed day my darling family; God bless you all!

Dear all,

Good Morning to you all and Praise the living God! I have certainly missed you but I am back in London now! We bless God for a great time in Lagos, it was absolutely amazing and I thank Him for journey mercies back! I went back, I even travelled within the country and came back with great news, no sorrow, no death, no accident, no bad news! Let His Name be praised above every other name!

I am back to regular blogging now and I have so many messages for you and I am very excited to share them with you. I’ve received so many revelations from God and I pray they will bless you. As you all know by now, I am originally Nigerian. I was born in England but I grew up in Nigeria up until I was 15 and then moved back to England, however, I’ve always gone back yearly and have kept a good relationship with Nigeria.

Today’s post is inspired from my three week break in Nigeria and I know that a large proportion of my readers are Nigerian or generally African and so I pray this blesses you. The first thing I noticed when I got to Nigeria was the electricity “situation” had improved. I tell you that when I was in Lagos  in April this year, we probably had the generator on for over 40hours a week and this time, I was in Nigeria for three weeks and in that time, the generator was used for less than 2 hours collectively; compared to 120 hours previously! I mean, that is a vast improvement! I can count the amount of times they “took light”. Absolutely amazing and I just began to praise the Lord because it was just amazing! I honestly couldn’t believe it; this is the same country where we had power for probably 12 hours a day at the most and I just believe that if Nigeria can make such a vast improvement in this area, Nigeria can and will become a great nation. The lack of electricity used to be one of our negative trademarks but today, they are leaving that behind. I am so proud, happy and believe that if we all believe, we can make major changes in other areas.

On the other hand, the horror stories of murders, kidnapping, armed robbery and bombings were very rampant and it’s just sad to see all this evil manifesting in our country but I want to tell you today that, everything that happens in the physical is first determined in the spirit realm and as Christians, we have authority to move and shakes things both in the spiritual and physical.

Ephesians 6:12– For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Matthew 18:18- 20– Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

What am I saying here? As Christians, we can speak to God, we have the authority and as Nigerians, we can take up the case of our family, home, street, neighbourhood and country to Him. We have the authority and resources to stand in the gap and intercede! I am speaking from experience, one day I received bad news about something occurring in Nigeria and I prayed to God and said “Lord this is what I want” it was a really big stretch but I said it with all faith and power and to my surprise, I got the news within two days I believe and I was absolutely shocked and just thanked God!

It is not impossible! Why should we complain about things if we are not doing anything? Many of us pray for ourselves, our families but how many of us actually take five minutes to commit our dear country into God’s hands. In my Church, here in England, we pray for revival in England. For the past few months, that’s what we’ve been focused on! I just love it because as much as my blood is Nigerian, I am very British at heart as well, I was born here, I’ve worked here, did my A-Levels, BSc and Master’s here and so I pray for a revival in the UK but what about Nigeria? Let’s pray for this country that the Holy Spirit will touch us and bring an end to terrorism, war, violence and evil.

The last thing I want to speak about is injustice in Nigeria! Nigeria is a country where the rich are very rich and the poor; extremely poor! It is a country where there is a lot of injustice, a lot of people misuse their positions and bring about suffering, there’s looting of public funds, extreme theft in government and so much violence but I’m here to tell you that it all starts with you. How do you treat your domestic staff, your maid, cook or driver? I’ve heard about people beating their house maids, spitting in their faces, withholding their salaries from them, men forcing their maids to sleep with them or they would send them back to the village. What about people who bribe their lecturers to pass them or offer sex for good grades? There is just so much injustice. In certain companies, you don’t get in based on what you know but who you know. Even for many business owners, there can be a lot of lying, deceit and forgery involved. It’s very sad especially when Christians get caught up in this!

Hebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

He is the same in England, China and Nigeria! We shouldn’t bend to society’s expectations just because we want to blend in.

Matthew 5:13-14– Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

We are the salt and light of this world, we should not be conformed to what others are doing. I read something by Pastor E.A Adeboye that really changed my life forever. He said, if you have to lie, steal or commit sin to get something then that thing is not from the Lord. For example, when you cut down your age to apply for a job, or when you submit fake certificates or lie about your qualifications at a job interview! You are committing sin and you are not helping yourself! Stand firm on the Word of God, be true, be honest and be Holy and the Lord will do for you what no other man can do! Amen! That is your part, stand for God and stand firm!

Apart from praying for the nation, use your skills to bless the country! I have worked in England, I’ve schooled here and gathered so much knowledge and experience and I feel I need to bless my country! If God has called you to live in a developing country or you are from one, be a resource to your country. What has God called you to do? For me, I feel called to deal with the institution of marriage and the injustice done to women, I also feel called to help Nigeria become a flourishing nation that will attract tourists. What has God called you to do for Nigeria or your country? May your Name be among the list of people who the populous of your country will celebrate and applaud! Amen!

I pray for Nigeria today, that God will bring positive change to the country and will alleviate the suffering and injustice done to its people. I pray that the Lord’s name will reign supreme in every home, every firm, and meeting in that country! His Name will be glorified in the house of assembly and in every street corner and high place! I pray that there will be an uprising in that country and change will come to Nigeria! Injustice, corruption and violence shall be a thing of the past. I dare you to intercede for your country and spend ten minutes a day praying for Nigeria!

A Prayer for the Nations

Daily, international events are setting the stage for Jesus’ return. As believers in every land continue to pray on behalf of their leaders, God is pouring out His Spirit—making tremendous power available to guide the governments of every nation according to His divine will and plan. Psalms 2:8, The Amplified Bible, says, “Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.” As you stand for your nation or other nations of the world, you can pray the following:
Oh God in heaven, we come before You in the Name of Jesus on behalf of the leaders of Nigeria. First of all in accordance with I Timothy 2:1-2, we intercede and give thanks for kings and all in authority and expect to live a quiet and peaceable life. We pray for the Word of God to be given free course and Your people to be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men (II Thessalonians 3:1-2).
The heart of the king is in Your hand and You will turn it whichever way You choose (Proverbs 21:1). We ask You to direct the heart and mind of Goodluck Jonathan, Namadi Sambo and the Governor of my state- Babatunde Fashola to make decisions that will lead Nigeria in Your ways and according to Your Word.
We thank You, Lord, for bringing change to the politics of Nigeria. Thank You for changing
the voices of influence to speak in agreement with Your Word. We ask You to send laborers filled with the spirit of wisdom and might, to surround the leaders of Nigeria with Godly counsel and insight. We also ask You to remove from positions of authority those who stubbornly oppose righteousness, and replace them with men and women who will follow You and Your appointed course for Nigeria.
As we enter the final hours of the last days, we ask for the spirit of faith, the workings of miracles, for signs, wonders, gifts and demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and power to be in strong operation. Let believers in Nigeria and in every land be unified to stand strong by faith in Jesus, the Anointed One and His anointing, that Your glory may be revealed in all the earth.
Thank you, Lord, that these requests come to pass. We believe and receive. Amen.
I urge you to say this prayer everyday and pray about specific things that are affecting Nigeria, your state, local government and area. Pray for at least ten minutes everyday and lets see the power of God unfold before our eyes. What is bothering you about Nigeria, take it to God in prayer and remember that faith without works is dead- James 2:14. So, as we pray to God and make these positive declarations, let’s get out there put our hands to the plow. Some of us already know what it is we can do to help Nigeria, go ahead and do it and to those who are already active, may the Lord bless the works of your hands!! God bless Nigeria and God bless you all! I love you and see you tomorrow, by God’s Grace! Amen!

The Vision for Princess of Zion

Hello everyone,

I realise that we have so many new readers onboard and may not be aware of what Princess of Zion (POZ) is all about and who I am. For every organisation, Church, ministry, department or blog, you need to have a vision and direction and remind your audience and helpers what the vision is.

Proverbs 29:18- Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

From Nehemiah 1-3, when the wall of Jerusalem was being rebuilt, it was made obvious that in whatever you do, you must remind yourself and others of what the vision is. Taking this example, it is important to do it at least once a month, at the very least. I hope that understanding what the vision is will encourage you in your personal relationship and journey with God, will inspire you and help you to contribute to the vision by sharing with others. God bless.

About me

I am a British born Nigerian woman who lives in London. I am a born again Christian working part time in my Church office (RCCG Jesus House), I serve within two other ministries in Church whilst studying for my Post graduate degree.

I was going through a very difficult time in my life when I was listening to a sermon by Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo (Senior Pastor of David’s Christian Centre/Love, Dating & Marriage) and he said something that resonated with me- He said…”Don’t take nonsense my friend, how dare you? You are a DAUGHTER OF ZION!!!”

Ever since that day, I see myself as exactly that. A daughter of Zion! A princess of Zion!  It feels so empowering. Even though the blog is called “Princess of Zion”, men are welcome and I do reach out to you too.

I am a Christian woman living my life for God and praying He will use me to do His work. I am very passionate about empowering women to do the best they can and be the best version of them. I have witnessed so much in my lifetime, women being victims of spousal abuse, infidelity and so much more. On the other side, I’ve also seen women give us a bad name, women involved in prostitution, infidelity and many unspeakable things.

My goal in ministry is to one day set up a recognised ministry for women, where we deal with issues we currently cover on the blog, female empowerment, reaching your goals, being a woman of virtue in the 21st century, how to meet a Godly spouse and so on. I intend to use my education and experience in Psychology and listening to help the people I encounter.

1- My passion and vision is to create and raise a generation of Princesses of Zion, virtuous women, 21st century Rebeccas and Esthers. Women who have true Godly character.

2- Women who are strong and meet their goals in every sphere of life, in terms of their academics, careers, jobs, businesses and ministry. Women who will be at the top in their line of work and ministry. Women who will use their talents and gifts for the Kingdom and to further their careers.

3- Women who know their value and won’t settle for less. Women who know their place in society and as a result will apply Biblical principles in meeting their husbands and in marriage, as such, they will never be victims of abuse, infidelity or those other societal “norms” that many of us have settled for. Women who won’t indulge in fornication or adultery but will uphold their morals and virtues.

4- We need a generation of Princesses of Zion who will cause a generation of Princes of Zion to arise and they will give birth to Godly fruit; princes and princesses of Zion. AMEN

5- I am believing in Him for my own Prince of Zion, to be my head and lead me in his vision so I can submit under his ministry. I am very passionate about the institution of marriage and the family and I believe that God wants everyone to get married and have a family vision and go about achieving it. I want to see families, were the man is the head, not only financially and physically but spiritually and the wife is indeed his help meet. I want that for myself and I want that for everyone.

6- This is a powerful platform for us as children of the most High to stand together and make a demand on Heaven. Whatever it is you are going through, share with us and we will all join you in prayer. When two or more agree on earth concerning ANYTHING, it will be done by our Father in Heaven. AMEN. Matthew 18:19. It may be something never discussed before but please don’t hesitate to speak. You may want me to address a particular issue, which i will. You are all welcome in Jesus Name. AMEN.

I hope this has enlightened you on what the POZ movement is about and has inspired you to chase your dreams, realise your vision and be the best you can be. I also pray that when this movement becomes a fully functional ministry, you will support us with prayers and in every way you can. God bless and prosper you all. AMEN.

Excelling as a woman

Good Morning everyone,

How are we all doing? Praying you all had a wonderful and great start to the week. May this week be full of testimonies! Amen! It’s the last day of July; I can’t believe how quickly the months have flown by; I just pray that the remaining five months of this year will surpass the others. Amen.

Today’s post is the last instalment of the series by Rev Funke Adejumo. She had three sermons, titled; excelling as a woman, wife and mother. If you haven’t read the other two, please read them here-

Men, I encourage you to read those posts too; she refers to both men and women. Anyway, we’re finally here! I pray you enjoy the message and it encourages you to be a better person. Amen.

Marriage doesn’t complete a woman; if you think that each time women gather, it is about husband, you need to look deeper into yourself! Women, we need to be more destiny conscious. If you are incomplete as a single woman, you will meet an incomplete single man and have an incomplete marriage. So, as single women, we need to invest in ourselves. Every marriage goes through storms; even the house that was built on the rock went through the storm, likewise that built on the sand. What happens after the storm is what counts. So, don’t kill yourself if you’re 47 and not yet married. God comes late when He wants to come big. Don’t kill yourself because six men have jilted you. To be the right person is more important than meeting the right person because water will always find it’s level. If you are a mother, please decide the number of children you can adequately bear and rear. It’s not just enough to bear children but you must be able to rear them too.

What does it mean to excel?

The quality of being extremely good at something

It is the ability to attain the zenith of performance.

The ability to exceed the ordinary.

1 Samuel 25:2-3- And there was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was very great, and he had three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel. Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.

A woman of good understanding and beautiful countenance- That is the epitome of a woman who is excelling. But we have to wonder why she was married to such a man; beloved be careful of who you marry. Marriage is not a weekend affair but a lifetime event.

If you are going to excel as a woman, these factors are very important.

The “God” factor

Your relationship with God is the starting point to your excellence. There is a vacuum in every human being that can only be filled by Jesus. So, the starting point is being born again. It’s not enough to be a member of Day Star or RCCG, you must give your life to Christ. If you’re not saved, you are not safe. Your personal relationship with God must be dynamic if you want to excel.

If you are born again, love God; love God with passion and serve Him. Let Him know that there is a woman on earth who loves Him. Each time God looks on earth, let Him see you and be gladdened. If you love God, you won’t sleep with any man before you marry neither will you sleep with your boss for a promotion. Any man that says he can’t marry you unless you sleep with him doesn’t deserve you. He’s a broken down volkswagen; wait for your Rolls Royce. Love God enough, tell Him that others may do it, but you won’t. Make up your mind to live for God and serve Him. Even if you lost your virginity before, it doesn’t mean you should keep on losing it. If you love God, nobody needs to beg or drag you to the midweek service. You’ve been born again for six months, yet no department in Church. Why not join one and serve the living God? You must excel when it comes to the God factor. Serve God with your life and with your money. When last did you close your account because of God. A good Christian marriage is a salary paid by God. You want a great Christian man but are you a great Christian woman? God is careful about who He entrusts with His servants. These days all we hear is prosperity, breakthrough, what about holiness?

The “you” factor

You are very important and were created to excel. Have you ever looked at the anatomy of the human body? How come your feet don’t face the sides or the back? How come your eyes are not at the back of your head. The anatomy of man suggests that God expects us to be forward looking; Your life is not permitted us to use the reverse gear. Incase that is happening in your life, God is cooking something and in the Name of Jesus, You will go forward. Amen.

Aeroplanes don’t have a reverse gear; a machine is brought to push it backwards until it gets to the point of take off. If anyone laughs at the plane when it is going backwards, the person is laughing too early because soon after the plane is airborne, it will be cruising at 37000 ft above sea level. So, in case it seems you are still moving backwards and all your mates have left you behind and mock you, they are laughing too early because very soon, you will be air borne. This is you season; Amen.

When God told Noah to bring the animals into the arc, the elephant was there, the cheetah, the lion and all the huge animals. They ran into the arc at record speed. However, the snail, tortoise were slow, it must have taken them days to enter! But guess what, THE ARC COULD NOT BE SHUT WITHOUT THE SNAIL OR THE TORTOISE!!

It doesn’t matter who has gone ahead or who has entered, tell yourself, I am also coming!! “I thank God for Pastor EA Adeboye, Kenneth Copeland, Rev Sam Adeyemi and Bishop Oyedepo, but I AM ALSO COMING”

Imagine a pregnant woman sitting down while another who has given birth is sitting opposite her. The one who has put to bed is nursing her child, while the pregnant woman is relaxing! The pregnant woman has no need to envy the nursing mother! Why? She is pregnant and it is only a matter of time before she puts to bed and begins nursing, AMEN!!
It is a matter of time! I say it again, a pregnant woman does not need to envy a nursing mother; it is a matter of time. There is a book God is writing about your life and there is a chapter in that book called time. Don’t envy anybody whose time has come. Don’t envy anybody whose already excelling because it is a matter of time. Thank God for them but tell yourself, tell everybody that you are also coming.
You may have made mistakes, yes! But your mistakes can not stop your miracles. Be encouraged! Your husband may have died, your children may not be doing as well as they should, don’t worry! God is still alive! You go to bed every night and wet your pillow with tears, don’t worry your midnight is almost over, your sun will shine again! Somebody believe and receive it. A man jilted you and said he no longer wants you, pick yourself up, the man God will bring you can not even be compared to the former. The doctors may have told you that it is over, God is here to do something. When God speaks, medical science shuts up. Who says it when the Lord has not said it. You may have been writing exams for years and no success yet, your testimony is here! Amen!
How to excel
It starts with your thinking
The quality of your mind determines everything. You are not better than what you think- Proverbs 23:7. Think good of yourself- wake up in the morning and thank God for who you are. Stop complaining that somebody isn’t greeting you, greet yourself. Don’t wait for people to applaud or compliment you. Don’t look for people’s approval; like yourself. When people do compliment you, learn to accept the compliments. Think! How can you improve your life, how can you become the best caterer or fashion designer in your country? Think about your life. If you want to excel as a woman, you must think.
You must have knowledge
You must have the ability to gain knowledge. Where there is a will, there is a way. Some of us are 2st century women and we don’t even know how to use computers or email. When your husband is speaking politics, you are speaking about tomatoes. Yet, you complain that the secretary is winning your husband. It’s because you haven’t upgraded and updated yourself. If you read the Bible alone, you will have revelations but to gain knowledge, you need to read other books. We are 21st century women, we shouldn’t just watch Africa Magic or Desperate Housewives. Otherwise, our brains will become redundant. Watch other beneficial programmes; read books. Knowledge announces and promotes you- Seek knowledge about how a successful business, marriage or ministry is run. Seek knowledge.
The power of consistency
Some people give up too soon. You open a business and you drop it after a few months. Three years ago, you started an event, it didn’t go well but you dropped it. Show me a star and they will show you their scars. Don’t envy anyone’s story or glory, if you’re not ready to have their pains. Don’t live your life to please people; it isn’t the dress that makes the man but the man makes the dress.
Genesis 26- Isaac didn’t give up digging the well, he dug until he found the water. Life is like a tea bag, it creates the best response when in contact with hot water. Try new ways of doing what you do.
If you want to excel as a woman, you need to work hard. Hardwork will not kill you.
Proverbs 13:4- The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
You receive the extra ordinary anointing by doing the extra ordinary. You are a woman of assignment; when you get to Heaven, you will only do two things, worship and visit. Remember that you don’t have time; think about your parents. Many of them can’t eat until you send them money. Is that how you want to be? God forbid! Let’s make use of the time we have and do something great. The number of children you have, is the number of houses you must leave behind MINIMUM! So when you’re gone they won’t fight! Amen!
Proverbs 13:22-A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
Some of us, the money we should have spent on building homes, we are wearing in the form of lace material, designer bags and shoes just because we must wear what the celebrities are wearing. Make sure that your life is impactful. When you travel and you call home, your husband should beg to have you back and not celebrate your absence.
Knowledge exposes you but purposes inspires you. Any man that walks outside his purpose, will be frustrated
When David wanted to marry Micah, he asked for the price of her dowry, he was told 100 foreskins but David said she was worth much more and offered to pay double.
Ask yourself this question, if your husband was asked to repay your dowry, what will he pay? More, less or the same? What will he pay based on your contribution to the home.
Take good care of yourself as a woman, when your husband introduces you, nobody should think you’re his mother. Please let’s take care of ourselves, drink water! Some of us only drink fizzy drinks. If your toilet is dirty, throw a bottle of coke down the toilet, shut it for two hours, when you return, it will be sparkling clean. Thats how acidic and destructive coke is. Let’s be conscious of our diet and exercise. Let’s be conscious of our lifestyle. That husband you think is not good, God forbid you die, 50 women will queue to marry him! Don’t die! Don’t kill yourself.
I hope this message has encouraged and blessed someone. I pray that as women, we will realise that we are destined for greatness, we are much more than wives and mothers. That is not all we are called to be! Take the time to pursue God, discover your purpose, maximise your potential and impact lives. Amen. God bless and prosper you all.
