RCCG Festival of Life Update

Good Evening family,

Quick post just to update you! As you know, the RCCG Festival of Life London took place yesterday at the Excel Centre and I was asked to help out before the event! Anyway, coupled with my moving, the day before (Thursday) was a very busy one for me; especially trying to sell my car! That was a great difficulty; I had received absolutely NO interest on auto trader only a few personal friends enquiring but nothing solid! It was a great source of disappointment for me!

The Festival of Life started at 8pm last night and ended at 5:30am this morning- The theme was- “The Second Touch”! So, about 9 and a half hours of praising God! Awesome! Anyway, I was due to get to the Excel centre 12 hours before the event started; 8am yesterday! Stay for the event and after the event ended at half 5, clear up till about half 8! That meant working for 24hours straight. 8am Friday till after the event; 8:30am today! So, I knew a good night’s rest was essential. I didn’t get to bed till about 1am and needed to be up by 6 but I was unable to sleep. In addition to that, I missed my alarm and woke up at 7am and left the house at half 7. We were meant to gather at 8am to pray with the GO- Pastor E.A Adeboye and meet him and then start our various task but I had car trouble and didn’t get there till half 9 and so I was unable to meet him.

But the Lord is forever faithful! I was setting up the vip rooms for some of the Pastors and I was allocated two rooms on the GO’s floor and inspected all the rooms on the floor including that of the GO and his wife. He wasn’t in the room at the time but I was happy to at least have had some form of contact with him and was grateful. Anyway, we worked up until the event started at 8pm. At this time I was extremely tired, having driven two hours to get there and walking, carrying and working for about eleven hours, we went to my colleague’s Hotel room (also inside the venue) to relax. I knew I needed the rest but decided I would return to the event hall at midnight as the GO normally starts preaching at 1am.

I fell asleep and had set an alarm to go back to the service at midnight! Unfortunately, I missed the alarm again as I was thoroughly exhausted! I mentally decided to just sleep since I was so tired. To my surprise, around 1am, one of my colleagues in the room started snoring profusely and I tried to shut my ears, turned several times but I couldn’t sleep! I was AWAKENED and could no longer fall asleep and so I got up and started getting ready to return to the venue! Can you believe that as soon as I was fully awake, the snoring stopped? I knew it was the Lord! If not for the horrible snoring, I would have missed the message. I quickly headed right back to the hall and started taking notes of the Word! It was amazing as always; I can always describe a message but never the GO’s! So hard to put into words but every bit of it appealed to me and I praised God! I went there believing in God for spiritual growth personally, ministry growth, healing upon my father, marital settlement, a distinction in my Master’s and a smooth relocation to Nigeria!

The GO was led by God to pray for different categories of people. First, the students and so I stood up as I am still awaiting my results from the Post graduate project! I brought along the assignment receipt for the dissertation and held it up and prayed and received His prophecies! Brethren, celebrate with me because my distinction is sure! It is done; not because of anything I’ve done but because the Lord has said it! He prayed for eligible singles believing in God for a spouse, I stood up and received every word of prophecy. Again my family, celebrate with me because my wedding is fast approaching and my Godly inspirational marriage will soon be a point of contact for thousands of Christians including YOU! Amen! He prayed for those expecting financial upliftment, I stood again and received it! Brethren, you are hearing from a woman who’s tithe is about to increase magnificently! Amen! Another category mentioned was that of married women who have been unable to bear children, I stood in the gap for an aunt of mine and for readers who are in this situation. I may not know you but I know that our God is able and by the power of God, this month you shall conceive and if it is twins or triplets you want, in nine months time, you will carry your healthy children! Amen!

The last part of the service is something the GO was directed to do many years ago, when the congregation holds up a piece of cloth- handkerchief, scarf and so on and the anointing of God falls upon this item and it is up to you to exercise faith or not with this. But I have heard testimonies of people who did that and rubbed the cloth on a growth on their body or on their tummy and the growth disappeared and others became pregnant and so with all faith I held my scarf up, as well as my project assignment receipt! I rubbed the scarf on my head, when I got home on my house keys, car keys, debits cards and so on!

After the service, as I cleared a room, a lady smiled at me and said she knows me and asked if I went to Open Heavens and I said no, Jesus House and left! I later returned and she said “I know why you look so familiar, you always serve me when I come to Jesus House” and we just laughed and smiled about it. Another lady who happens to go to Jesus house then said Yes I know you, you are getting married right? I first of all said no and then I said oh sorry yes I am (I said this with faith) and she immediately got it and joined her faith with mine and said- of course you are! How can you say no? Your wedding is next year isn’t it? I said yes by God’s grace! Ladies and gentlemen, the Lord hears and I know that this is only the beginning of great things to come! Ameeen! I will continue to keep you updated as things progress!

The Lord is quick to answer prayers especially in environments of praise and anointing! This evening, I received an email from a lady on auto trader asking if my car was still available. She requested to view it as soon as possible and an appointment has been booked for tomorrow! if you notice, I don’t wait till my testimonies are complete to testify because I know and believe that every good work the Lord has started in me, He will surely see through to completion in Jesus’ Name! Amen! I declare that the viewing will successfully take place tomorrow and myself and my car will receive all favour before the eyes of the buyers and they will immediately request to buy the car and at a rate that will positively shock me! I know that by Monday, I will have a substantial amount in the bank and I will be back to give the full testimony not because of me but because I believe in the power of the Most High God and in Him I am confident! Brethren, rejoice with me and say Amen!

Here are the prayer points from the service! We were given thirty minutes to pray these points, I adjure you to tap into this anointing and pray them now for third minutes and I pray the Lord will extend His second touch to you!

1. Praise Him for what He has already done.

2. Father, whatever can stand between me and Your touch tonight, please destroy with Your blood.

3. Father, please touch me again and again.

4. Father, please complete what You started in my life.

5. Father, please perfect that which concerns me.

6. Father, restore unto me everything the devil has stolen from me.

7. Father, let my blessing begin to overflow to others.

8. Father, please turn me into a mighty vessel unto honour in your hand.

9. Father, please make my blessings permanent.

10. Father, show me Your Glory.

11. Father, show me Your Almightiness.

12. Father, just have mercy on me.

He then asked us to add our other personal requests! Ask God for a Christmas miracle, New year present and another one just to show His Glory! It is well with you. I left my house at 7:30am yesterday morning and got home at 9:30 am today; 26 hours later with only about two hours of sleep in between and about four hours from the night before! Extremely exhausting and a feat I thought was impossible but I made it, it was worth it and if given the opportunity, I would do it all over again because I encountered God! If this was a job condition though, I doubt I would have done it as it was extremely brutal but for the Almighty who gave me life, keeps me alive, YES YES and YES! Father for You, I will do everything and if anything, I am privileged to have such an amazing opportunity to serve You! Thank You Lord! Ladies and gentlemen, four more days till I relocate to Lagos! Please keep me in your prayers! God bless you all

Celebration of marriage week

Good Morning everyone,

How are you today? Praying you had an enjoyable and fun filled weekend? Over the weekend and in fact, the whole week, there was a huge influx of stories about bad marriages and tragic stories of serial spousal infidelity and spousal abuse. These stories really hurt me because they weren’t fiction but were very real and it is painful to know that people are going through “hell” in their marriages; what was even more worrying were the several hundreds of comments accepting that sort of behaviour and saying it was normal but “you just have to endure”.

Well, as God would have it, everything He does is perfect and His timing is always perfect because this week at my Church (RCCG Jesus House London) we will be we having our “Celebration of Marriage Week” it actually started yesterday Sunday 12th and will end this Saturday 18th August 2012. I thought it would be lovely to join them in celebrating the gift of the institution of marriage, particularly at a time when marriage as we know it is under attack in today’s society.

I know we have spoken about the dangers of getting married to the wrong person, we’ve spoken about infidelity amongst other things but this week, I am here to reassure you that the One who created marriage; created it to be beautiful, honourable and the marriage bed undefiled. This week, we will look at the beauty of marriage, how to enjoy your marriage and not endure, I will also try to get some successful Christian marriage stories for us to read, enjoy and be inspired by. These days all we read are the failure stories, the stories about cheating, abuse, HIV and so on; even though these are really true, I want you to know that is NOT God’s plan for marriage and those things should not be accepted as the norm! Everyday I see and talk to happy Christian couples; you too can have the marriage of your dreams.

The point of this week is not to dispel those tragic stories, I indeed admit that they are very true, real and happen everyday but I want to ensure and promise you that NOT all marriages function that way. There are happy, healthy marriages in which both parties are faithful and loving to each other. So, I just want to tell you not to be scared off by such stories but be very careful, prayerful and discerning about who you choose to marry; make sure you pick wisely, prepare yourself and only seek God’s direction.

Married Couples

Please join us to celebrate marriage this week and surprise your spouse; specifically pray for your marriage this week, ask God for a revival, surprise your spouse with a date night this week, a gift and do something romantic for them. That thing your spouse has always wanted to do, please do it for them this week; life is too short, let them know you love them.

I’m setting a challenge for all the married people in the house, tell your spouse you love him/her at least TEN times each day of the week. In the morning when you wake up, at night, when you go to work, send them a text to say you love and miss them. Call them just to say it. I honestly believe that it will bring back the spice and romance in your marriage.

When last did you kiss your spouse in front of your children? Don’t be shy; let them know you are indeed husband and wife: do that everyday this week. Men, when last did you open the car door for your wife? Please do that every day of this week and beyond. Men, if you never cook for your wife, why not do that this week? I urge you to plan a different surprise for your spouse each day of this week and top it up with the hugest surprise on Saturday! Ladies, if you’ve been too busy to cook for your husband, cook his favourite meal for him this week.

It is the celebration of marriage week; appreciate your spouse this week. Why not leave them a love note on the fridge or on the bathroom mirror? Stop taking your spouse for granted please, you are lucky, highly blessed and favoured to be married, honour your spouse this week and you’ll see how much they appreciate your gesture and watch how it will usher you into a new dimension of love, unity, greatness and romance! In the words of Pastor Bayo Adewole, why not “minister” to your spouse in bed every night of this week. Some of you have been married for only ten years, yet you haven’t slept with your spouse in a whole month, this week is celebration of marriage week, do it every day this week, I don’t care where, when or how but reverence them, reverence their body. As Pastor K will say, married couples should have sex anytime and anywhere; don’t limit yourself to the bed or bedroom. It’s just one week and who knows, that baby you’ve been praying for might be gifted to you this week, sex is meant to be enjoyed in marriage and not endured or used as a weapon, do this challenge this week and just see the difference it will make to your marriage and the heightened level of intimacy and love that will arise as a result.

Some of you don’t even pray together anymore; you stopped that after one year of marriage; remember that every home will face storms but we stand strong in prayers. 1 Thessalonians 5:17- Pray without ceasing. This week, grab your spouse and pray together, pray for each other and read the Bible everyday together this week. Some of you even go out together and people can’t tell that you’re married, hold your spouse’s hand in public, don’t be ashamed or shy; that is your wife; your husband! Hold their hand, smile, and look into each other’s eyes.

Courting couples

I ask you to seek God’s face this week and pray with your partner everyday; in person or over the phone, just ensure that you pray together every single day this week and let them know you appreciate them. Reaffirm your decision to marry them and begin preparations for your marriage this week by praying together and looking forward to marriage. For some of you, God led you to your partner, you liked them and prayed about it and God has given you the go-ahead to marry them, I challenge the men who are sure this is who you want to marry and God has told you that she is indeed your wife, I challenge you to pop the question this week. This is for those who are 100% sure that this is the woman you want to marry and God has indeed given you the go-ahead, if you are emotionally, spiritually and financially ready, why not do some romantic things for her this week and top it up with a surprise romantic proposal on Saturday. Pray together this week, pray for your partner this week and continue to ask God to lead and direct you and to help you to keep the relationship honourable and clean. Ask God to help the two of you to make it to the alter, to be submitted to God, faithful to Him and one another.

Singles

I challenge you to read about marriage this week, check the Bible and see what the Lord says about marriage, pray this week, pray every day this week that the Lord will reveal His ultimate plan and purpose for marriage. Pray that He will show you His vision for marriage and you won’t be indoctrinated by the world’s idea of marriage but led by the Kingdom’s principles for marriage. Pray that the Lord will prepare you for marriage this week, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, domestically, financially and in every single way. Ask the Lord to prepare you for your marriage, pray for your future spouse this week. Yes, you don’t know him/her but by God’s Grace, they will show up soon. Pray that the Lord will guide and protect them, cover them with His precious blood and prepare them wherever they are for you. Pray that the Lord will favour, bless and prosper their life, career, business, home and beyond. Ask that the Lord will put a yearning within them to find you, ask that the Lord will direct them to your path with God’s speed. Ask that the Lord will cause them to show up this season and when they see you, they will see your glory. Ask that the Lord bless and guide you and ask Him that this time next year, you too will be celebrating the marriage week with your own spouse. AMEN!

God bless marriage, God bless all the married couples in the house; may your joy never end. May the grace and favour of the Lord be upon your homes now and forever more. To all the courting couples, I pray that the Lord will grant you God’s speed, direction and favour and before the next “Celebration of marriage week”, we will be congratulating you on your marriage. Amen. To all the singles in the house, may the Lord smile upon you this season and change your status in Jesus’ Name. Amen! Remember, marriage is beautiful and honourable! God bless marriage! God bless you all. I pray that the challenges I have set for you this week will really bring about a revival and uplifting in your lives, relationships and marriages and you will make them a habit; I pray this week will cause us to truly appreciate the institution of marriage and to it God’s way. Amen.

Feel free to email me your success stories, testimonies of how these little gestures have awakened your marriage or if you have been married for any length of time and have had an inspiring and positive experience of marriage and would like to share and inspire others, please send me an email- princessofzion@rocketmail.com

God bless you all

Events in the UK

Good day everyone,

As I said earlier, I noticed that my highest readership tends to come from the UK and because I am based here, I am quite well versed on the relevant events happening around the country; especially in London. So, I will therefore be posting necessary information about upcoming events. I will try do to this as often as I can, and also for other countries in which I have a high following. If you know of any events, please do let me know and if there’s anything else you would like to know about the event, just send post a comment or email me at princessofzion@rocketmail.com

Thank you and God bless

This is for the singles

Hi everyone,

As promised, I will be posting events on here, events you can attend. I’ve posted some for the UK and Nigeria. But I notice that I have a very high readership in Canada and the States. Please, pardon me if I don’t have many events, as I know those are two very huge countries.

If you know of any wonderful Christian events or any positive (business, career or educational) events that will bless the readers, please share with us. I will make a post about the event and put all the necessary information.

Anyway, The RCCG North America will be holding it’s fourth annual Singles Conference and the theme is “An excellent generation”.

About RCCG North America (RCCGNA)

This ministry was created to help single adults in The Redeemed Christian Church of God North America (RCCG NA) grow in their spiritual, social, and personal lives. This group was also created to serve as a support group for single adults from ages 20 and above.

The model for the RCCG NA Singles Ministry is designed to empower the singles ministry of the local parishes, so that they can develop vibrant Singles for Kingdom Exploits and also foster relationships between singles towards God and one another.

Their objectives

  • To provide social activities for singles to fellowship as a group.
  • To establish a communication network between singles in different parishes.
  • To establish information resource/sharing system for career development, financial planning, etc.
  • To develop and promote spiritual growth.
  • To provide a forum to address the struggles that single Christians experience inside and outside the church.
  • To provide counseling on Christian relationships

The event: July 19th – 21st, 2012, Atlanta Georgia.

Location: Westin Atlanta

Perimeter North 7 Concourse Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30328

This three day conference promises to be very interesting, empowering and exciting! Don’t miss it!

God bless
